Thestudy on the welfare of the transgender victims with regard towhether they receive appropriate medical care is our main point ofconcern. The main question here is, ‘for in patients with recurrenttransgender complications, does knowledge of the conditions andchallenges that face the transgender victims help the nursesefficiently improve their conditions compared to the instances oflack of detailed knowledge on how to handle this unique lot ofpatients?.’ This PICO question is critically essential in theprocess of analyzing the conditions of the patients with transgenderproblems and conditions in addition to those who equally sufferstigma and prejudice due to their conditions in the society like thelesbians, gays and the bisexual individuals. This research is boundto shed a great amount of light on whether it is critically essentialfor the nurses to get equipped with vital knowledge about thesetransgender individuals to help effectively handle and manage theirconditions. According to the research and survey results published ina 2010 Report Publication, the persons with transgender issues face acrisis of insufficient number of specialized medical serviceproviders especially the nurses with knowledge about their plight. Inaddition to that, they face structural barriers that impede theiraccess to specialized medical care which results in dire consequencesfor the victims that can involve high cancer contraction rates, highrisk of mental disorders, thromboembolic conditions, resolution tosmoking and alcoholism addiction in addition to committing suicide. All these result in increased cases of death which thereby increasestheir mortality rates.

Thenursing quantitative research findings strongly support our PICOquestion as they cumulatively indicate that there is insufficientknowledge on how best to handle the transgender patients and this hasall through resulted in adverse effects to the transgender patients,(Neuman, 2011). This research came up with a number of factspertaining the conditions and welfare of the transgender victims. Ostart with, the research found out that there is an overallacceptance towards transgender patients by the nursing practitionersacross the United States of America. However, the main hindrance andproblem comes in handling their needs and demands efficiently to helpserve them with high efficiency levels. The lack of proper andadvanced knowledge thereby results in decreased confidence levelsamongst nurses on their real ability to effectively handle and managethe transgender victims. The other fact heighted and evident in thisnursing research is that, there is a huge gap in the detailed healthcare content about the transgender, gay, lesbian and bisexual in thenursing education curriculum across the United States. The studyfound out that the there is very little education content studiedabout the transgender victims care and maintenance, (Ormold, 2010).The nurses fully train and get accredited to provide a variety ofprofessional services across various hospitals and in nursing homesbut fail to cover any detailed syllabus about the transgender victimsin their line of study. The effect reverberates to even the higherlevels of study as their lacks any detailed sort of syllabus even inthe higher points of learning meaning that even as the nursingprofessionals go for higher learning, they still fail to coversufficient detail about the knowledge of the welfare of thetransgender victims. This was highlighted in an earlier study byBurch in 2005 that indicated that lack of formal detailed informationabout the transgender healthcare education did contribute to the highlevels of incompetence amongst the nurses with regard to thetransgender issues. Finally, the study also found out that researchon this factors al through faces numerous amounts of limitations. Some of these limitations include low respondent rates, lack ofstandardized definitions about various terms of reference used in themedical researches for example in the HCPS in addition to thedifficulties in testing for both the HCPS and the ATS with regard tothe length of scales used when combined together.

Reliabilityis a term used to describe and explain instances of overallconsistency of a measure usually measured on psychometrics. A measureis valued and regarded as consistent if it produces similar resultsin a variety of similarly consistent conditions. In research, thisterm is very commonly used especially in the quest to achieve stableand dependable results for the present and the future. Thereliability of any research findings is what all through supports thefoundation on which these results get to be considered and allthrough get used across various platforms of policy formulation andgeneral reference across various sectors in the economy. In thisresearch study, the descriptive survey study method used is found tobe very stable and efficient in ensuring the delivery of the targetresults and primary and secondary need of the study. The studyhighlights the use of the electronic questionnaires to gatherinformation across the selected sample study population in a bid togather valuable reliable information that is free from collusion asthey are passed over to individual respondents without any fear of aresultant collusion. In addition to this, this research method isvery recommendable and reliable because of its use of correlationstudy procedures like the measures of central tendency, the use ofthe Pearson’s correlation coefficient without forgetting its primeuse of the regression method in its data analysis process. Theregression method has over time been widely accredited as efficientand recommended for use in various study programs. However, thisstudy method used in this research project has its own weakness. Themajor weakness in this case is that it lacks the use of the ANOVA andT-test measures of data analysis and evaluation. These measures aresome of the most efficient and reliable methods and failure toinclude them in this project’s data analysis section greatlyhampers the overall efficiency of this study. In addition to that, the use of electronic questionnaire system can equally be of negativeimpact to this research project data collection efficiency as theyare likely bound to fail to be delivered back for analysis by therespondents given the tedious nature of most work schedules andcommitment to answering the questions in the questionnaire. Peopleare now busy like never before and the procedure of accessing thequestionnaires is equally tedious and cumbersome as they have tofirst be downloaded before being answered, uploaded and resent backonline. Thus, this data collection and analysis have their fair shareof strengths and weaknesses.

Inresearch and science, validity is a term widely used across varioussectors and departments of operation. This term is extensively usedto refer to the extent to which a concept, measurement or conclusionis correctly and efficiently founded and gives an accuratecorrespondence to the real world, (Burns &amp Groove, 2012). Ittherefore strongly gives a correspondence to the real world phenomenaand occurrences. This research can be widely considered as valid asits conclusions and recommendations conform to the real worldconditions, situations and circumstances. The research is herebyregarded as very valid because its conclusions and recommendationsare superbly relevant to the real world events. In the study, lack ofsufficient relevant training for the nurses with regard to issues oftransgender cases are the ones being primarily and greatly blamed forthe shoddy job the nurses are performing on these transgendervictims. These results are valid because they are at all expenses conforming to the current real world situation whereby the personswith transgender defects keep going through very difficult situationsand circumstances that to a great effect their real circumstances andwell being. This study can further be authoritatively regarded asvalid because its results and findings conform to recommended worldclass study procedures of data collection, analysis and conclusions. This study’s results and conclusions are further concurrent andsimilar to other earlier studies undertaken by other researchers inthe same line of study whose outcomes are soundly similar. Thereforethis study can be profoundly regarded as valid as it uses the commonaccredited procedures and analyses in addition to the strength boostit gets accorded due to the similar nature of its outcomes withregard to other earlier scholarly articles.

Thisstudy herein is essentially critically relevant and strong in itsgeneral nature. The study provokes an analysis into its strengthsand weaknesses which can be comprehensively identified in its methodsof data collection, analysis, results, recommendations andconclusions. According to the study, the method of data collectionused is very efficient and recommendable on particular grounds. Itcan be strongly recommended because this study endeavors to eliminatecollusion and any form of cheating in its process of gatheringsufficient data for use and analysis in the study, (Burch, 2012). Theelectronic system of data collection hereby ensures that theinformation only reaches the selected target respondent who canindependently analyze and fill the questionnaire before forwardingback the responses for analysis and valuation for the intendedpurpose. In addition to this, this research method is veryrecommendable and reliable because of its use of correlation studyprocedures like the measures of central tendency, the use of thePearson’s correlation coefficient without forgetting its prime useof the regression method in its data analysis process. The regressionmethod has over time been widely accredited as efficient andrecommended for use in various study programs. However, this studymethod used in this research project has its own weakness. The majorweakness in this case is that it lacks the use of the ANOVA andT-test measures of data analysis and evaluation. Thus, this data collection and analysis therefore extensivelytries to bring forth the relevant strengths and weaknesses of thisstudy and this strongly influences our quest to regard this study asreliable and valid or not.

Theclinical website guidelines that was found to be very relevant andhelpful was the CMA Infobase website that was presenting a wide rangeof guidelines with regard to the practice of nursing in Canada andbeyond. The CMA Infobase provides essential guidelines for clinicaland nursing practice in Canada. This information was gathered fromtheir website, https://www.cma.ca/clinicalpractice.

Thefourth source used in this study is the nursing website that largelyconcentrates on depicting the need for care and maintenance of thetransgender victims. This information is available in their websitewww.NursingMadeEasy.com. On this website, it gets primarily evident that the transgendervictims face various challenges like the structural barriers toprofessional medical access treatment as many at times the nursingmedical practitioners don’t know whether to group the as males orfemales and further fail to comprehensively understand their innatefeelings. In addition to that, according to the research on thiswebsite, it is still true and factual that the transgender victimsdon’t get the specialized essential recognition they deserve andurgently need as the nurses honestly don’t go through some thoroughtraining to guarantee specialized professional training on thistransgender matters.
