Electronic Health Record (EHR)

This module will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of Electronic Health Records. EHR provides accurate and up-to-date patient’s information, it is quick to access, more effective in diagnosing, more reliable in prescribing, improve productivity, as well as enhance privacy and security of patient’s information (Williams and Samarth, 2011). However, EHR is expensive to maintain, and it disrupts work-flow of medical staffs.

Health Assessment

This is a critical topic in nursing. This course will equip participants with skills of physical assessment, history taking, and documentation. They will also gain other skills necessary to conduct a comprehensive health assessment in the psychological, physical, functional, and social aspects of health. Further participants will become familiar with physical assessment technique such as palpation, inspection, percussion, and auscultation.
