Ref:The Need to Buy New Trucks as Part of Expansion Plan
Havingmanaged the company trucks successfully to ensure that customers arewell attended to and company products available at the convenience ofthe customer, I would like to propose an expansion plan. A number ofreasons have prompted the need to expand the company operations, particularly buying new trucks to supplement the available ones.
SaigonPete`s food hasbeen in operation for the last four years supplying banh mi food andother Vietnamese food to the market. Following the expansion thattook place in the company two years ago, the sales and profits of thecompany have been reported as being on an upward trend. From a singletruck at the beginning, the company presently owns three trucksindicating an overflow in the supply of products. Furthermore, thefirst trucks that only sold the ethnic foods are now facing stiffcompetition from the food trucks that have emerged selling thenon-ethnic foods. I have been a manager in charge of the midtowntruck, and accounting data indicates that my truck leads in terms ofdaily revenue. I would, therefore, suggest that there is an urgentneed to acquire more trucks in order to double the company revenuethrough sales. The emergence of new food trucks selling thenon-ethnic foods further supports the need to acquire more trucks.
Inaddition to the need for expansion, I would also like to suggest thatI be considered for more managerial position in line with theproposed expansion. I have an exceptional experience working in thiscompany for over two years and generating higher sales than any othertrucks. The managers of two trucks have equally expressed theirinterest in taking up my route in the event that the expansion plansare considered. This implies that customers in my route will stillbe served with the company revenue increasing due to increased sales.I, therefore, strongly suggest that the above expansion plan beconsidered for implementation.
